Décosterd et Rahm - Distortions

Philippe Rahm (1967) and Jean-Gilles Décosterd’s (1963) approach consists in the appropriation of time and space as architectural materials, by exploring the spectre of emptiness and the density of bodies to give rise to a physiological architecture. Hormonal cities, physiological gardens, melatonin rooms, high altitude environments, placebo paintings… Here, architecture becomes an energy field riddled with temporal and geographical breaches.
