The Sleepwalker Archive brings together an eclectic selection of publications covering a variety of disciplines such as art, architecture, urbanism, critical theory, philosophy, psychology, literature and popular culture, into a graphic topography and an installation in space. Plunging into the heart of the realm of dreams, this “Somnambulist Archive” explores strange yet familiar worlds. In this work, Lukas Feireiss selects, archives and compiles ideas using a cut-up technique that allows him to create new and surprising stories: architectural and spatial theories end up cohabiting becoming an integral part of the bandes dessinées (comics); the roots of Western philosophy share a space as much with science fiction as with children’s tales.
